Two-Faced

Yep, that's me.

I don't know about everyone else but my online world and my "real life" world do NOT collide. They rarely interact (with a few exceptions) and I'd prefer they never meet face to face. You won't find a link to my blog on my Facebook page. You won't hear me telling people around me about my blog. When Rob told his parents I had a blog I nearly crapped myself. I do NOT want them reading my blog!

I love that I can be myself here. I'm so guarded IRL and don't really let people know me very well. Hell, YOU strange anonymous people know more intimate details about me than nearly everyone I associate with on a regular basis. What does that say about me? Is that weird?!

Oh..are you looking for some epiphany? A revelation? A point where I realize that I need to be more open IRL and let people in?

You're not going to find it.

So, if I know you IRL and I don't already know that you're reading my blog? DON'T tell me. Do NOT. Because then I will stress and obsess over what I am saying.

Do people in YOUR real life read your blog??

Most people know that I have a blog, but there are only a few IRL people who read it. My BFF, who knows all anyway...and my parents, who stumbled upon it somehow...probably because I did used to have a link to it on my FB page. I like being able to be somewhat anonymous here and being able to spill my guts, although, I probably am a bit more guarded now that my parents read...but it's all good. :)

My Mom, Dad and sister know about my blog. My Mom, sister, and stepmom read it. My husband's best friend also reads it occasionally and so does my best friend.

No one in my real life knows about my blog. Even my twitter is pretty much just about the people I have met in the blogosphere.

Very few people that I know IRL know about my blog and those few rarely read it...or at least I think they rarely read it:) My family {except for one of my sisters} doesn't know about mine and I would kind of like to keep it that way!

I don't post much to my blog. And when I do, it links up with my FB page just to let peeps know that I've posted something. BUT if you look at my friends list on FB you will notice that I'm darn near friendless. And that's because I'm selective about who I'm really friends with and who is just an acquaintance. Friends I will tell everything to. And some family are my friends. But if you aren't on my FB list, you aren't gonna read my blog.

Yes. My mother is always commenting via email about my blog. I like it because she lives 1000 miles away and never gets to see the fun things I want to show her. Although, if she lived in the same city and I saw her every week I might feel a little differently.

I am envious, I wish I could really write what I want to say on my blog, but my whole fam damily reads it so they can stay abreast on our life since we live far away from everyone. I have considered starting another blog in which I say what I really mean, but I can hardly keep one blog afloat with four kids and homeschooling while moving I'd love to see me try two.

Oh, I totally understand your position on this. I made the mistake of sharing my blog with anyone and everyone who would support me. I have it post automatically to Facebook, too. I felt like you describe - like I had to be careful of what I say.

So I created a pseudonym and a blog with that identity for my no-holding-back posting. It's pretty cool, with only a few people IRL knowing who's writing.

But, yes, I'm two-faced, too.

Love ya!

Everyone I know, including my family reads my blog, but I don't know too many people since i'm pretty anti-social. lol.

My husband knows I have a blog but doesn't read it unless I tell him to. Our families do not know and I want to keep it that way. I just don't want them in my business. Two friends know. One reads it, the other does not.
I do not do Facebook. That's way too many family members that would be in my business and I do not want to know about their day to day life. We're close like that. ;o)

Everyone I know reads my blog and I really wish they didn't. Especially my mom. There is so much that I would love to vent about but I can't because she will read about it and it is mostly about her. Speaking of, any plans for one of those Seriously Profane posts anytime soon...

Only two people in my real life read my blog and that is my best friend and fiance. Outside of that family is definitely out of the picture.

That's it - we were most definitely separated at birth.

I am very guarded IRL. When I started my FB account, I ignorantly friended a my MIL and a bunch of my hubby's family members, some of which I don't even know. Then I wised up and unfriended them. All of them. I think my MIL is still pissed about it.

I also deleted my Twitter feed from my blog and changed my handle (because my nosy SIL read my tweets, although she does not tweet herself).

Anyhow, my MIL/SIL read my blog and I HATE it. I don't share a bunch on my blog b/c I don't want them in my head and I don't want them to know me on anymore of a personal basis than they already do.

I am very much the same way. My blog was not read by family at all until my mom's friend found it and told her. I'm not sure if she still reads it but I think she does because every once in a while she'll mention something about it.

and facebook and my blog? no connection. twitter and facebook? nope.

NO, they don't! Well, except my two sons, but they don't count...I know lots about them they would prefer I keep quiet about, so we're even. I prefer to keep my two worlds separate, too! Except someday, somehow, some way, you and I are gonna meet IRL, girl! ;-)
