What makes you angry?

In Random Order:

10. When the kids and I are on a walk and waiting to cross the street, it really makes me mad when people don't pay attention and come roaring around the corner without checking to see if people are there. Hello? *We* have the right of way and you can't possibly be in such a hurry that it's worth killing one of my kids so slow the hell down and back off.

9. In that same vein - it irritates me that the 'Walk' sign only lasts for 2.5 seconds. I no sooner step off the curb than it's a flashing red hand. What does that mean? Run? Go back! Run! Go back! Get out of the way! You should have been faster you slow poke! Seriously? It's impossible to make it across the road in 2.5 seconds.

8. Any mistreatment of children is enough to boil my blood.

7. Knowing I can't control a situation.

6. Lying. Liars. Lying liars. Liars that lie.

5. Unfair treatment of others.

4. Back talking and smarting off. Well, unless I'm the one doing it. Ha!

3. People that take advantage of other people.

2. Being late. Either my own tardiness or other people's.

1. Passive-Aggressiveness. Unless it's my own. Ha Ha!

So, what makes YOU angry?

I'm a bundle of suppressed anger this morning, so I can't tell you all that makes me angry. But I'm currently living #7.

I hate being late too. I hate when other people are late...especially if they are the kind that doesn't care that being late effects everyone else!

Rude teachers that don't want to do their job. I also hate passive aggressiveness since I lived it all weekend but can't talk about it on my own blog.

#1-#8 cover a lot of issues for me, too, but there's one other thing that really makes me angry...maybe it shouldn't but it does...

Don't treat me like a church secretary 24-7. People see me in the grocery store, in the post office, during our worship service, etc. and try to give me announcements for the bulletin or ask me if I know if there's anything scheduled on the church calendar for September because they want to schedule a baby shower, or if I know when the next administrative board meeting is....they even call me at HOME.

I even had someone call me once with this doozy... "Sorry to bother you at home, but I was wondering if you could stop by my house and pick up this cake to take to the covered dish meal at the church tonight? It will keep me from having to take it." Uh, no.

Attention, people...I'm the CHURCH secretary, not your personal secretary. I work part-time, in the mornings only. Please do NOT tap me on the shoulder in a worship service during praise and worship (or PRAYER, thankyouverymuch), handing me bulletin announcements or giving me messages for the pastor. I do not keep two years' worth of dates in my head. Don't ask me what's on the calendar 6 mos. from now. Shoot, I can't remember what I ate for breakfast this morning! Do not come up to me in the grocery store and ask me to take care of church business. You HAVE to call me when I'm in the office. PERIOD.

Shew...I needed to get that off my chest! Thanks for the soapbox, Heidi! ;-)

I could have written this!!! All of those things make me angry!

And #1 on my list right now are men who choose drugs/alcohol over being a parent to their child.

Everything on your list, plus people who don't flush number two or wipe the seat off after "hovering."

For Pete's Sake!

I hate when people say they are going to do something & back out. Ugh. commitment. I hate the lack of commitment.

Don't even get me started on those folks that don't stop when pedestrians are at a crosswalk. Especially families with small children ... arrrgh!

So I just wrote a comment on what I hated, then decided not to post it.
But I do agree with your list.

You have a pretty good list there. I think the thing that makes me the angriest is seeing someone mistreat others, belittling them in front of people or making fun of them. It just makes me so mad that people think they have a right to do that.
