Oops...I Did It Again...

*sigh* In the past few weeks I've also managed to melt another plastic bowl on the stove top (FYI - putting a plastic bowl on a burner that's on is not smart), lit the metal tea kettle on fire (was using it as a humidifier and it ran out of water), set the top of the stove on fire while trying to make gravy and cut the turkey (gravy boiled over and I had all 3 other burners going - POOF!) and cracked the bottom of a glass bowl using it in the microwave.

Bowl to my obvious kitchen superiority.

No, I'm not pregnant.

This would totally be something I would do too! So did you get to try it again in a safer bowl??

Oh no! My back burner on my stove gets really hot (I guess it exhausts the heat or something??) and I keep melting bowls, containers, lids. So frustrating!

I'm actually very surprised this hasn't happened at my house yet. I've certainly tempted fate enough times. I don't know what was in that bowl, but it looked suspiciously like some kind of caramel pecan glaze or something...mmmmm!

That totally looks like something I'd do...I'm rubbing off on you and we haven't even met, yet! ;-)

This usually happens to me when the in laws are on the way to my house for dinner!

Yeah, I exploded a 13X9 casserole dish by setting in on a burner that had just been turned off. The embarrassing part was that it happened at church with about 12 ladies standing in the kitchen. Thankfully the lady standing next to me and I wasn't hurt by the flying glass. Needless to say - I NEVER did that again!

yeah it happens. I lit a dish towel on fire, thinking the burner was off.

At least you didn't put your finger into the melting plastic this time. Yes, I remember the romantic bathtub episode. Ha.

Oh my goodness! I can't believe the peanut brittle did that to your bowl! I don't think I have completely melted any bowls...but we do have a bowl that is strictly for popcorn because the kernels have melted the bottom of the bowl!

I burned a tupperwear on my stove the other day. It's a pain to clean up!
