Except the other day. I didn't fall short. Nay. I leapt ahead.
I bought these:

Now - check out the label:

What are they? They are White DOLLAR rolls. And how much did I pay? $2.24. Dudes..there were like 17 rolls in there!! They were DOLLAR rolls so I SHOULD have paid $17 but I didn't...I only paid $2.24. HA! HA HA! I *totally* scored on this one, didn't I?
Right?
Just call me Frugalicious.
*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*
Uh, I feel the need to point out that this post isn't SERIOUS. Obviously I KNOW the rolls aren't $1 each. C'mon people. Don't email me and try and explain it. I already know. Find a better use of your time.

Frugalista is the term I believe, saw it on that Target commercial :) I never thought of myself as frugal but with the engagement coming up and wedding crap to think about, I have come to realize that I CAN be frugal when I need to be :) My dress was $106 (brand spankin new) and the ceremoney shouldn't cost more than $400. SCORE!
Wedding dress: $106
Ceremony Site: $225
Minister: $80
A lifetime of happiness with my husband and future children: PRICELESS!
You go girl! Way to put one over on the grocery store!
WOOHOO!!! I need to be frugal like you are! :D
Hee hee! You're so funny! I think the people who do coupons must put a lot of time and effort into it tho I hear that there are websites that make things easier. We just shop mostly at Costco and discount grocery stores and buff out nails with pride when we get that receipt showing how much we saved over "regular" grocery stores.
People actually emailed you trying to explain that? LOL!
It's pretty obvious you knew that they weren't really $1. hahaha.
I would think that the whole bag should have been $1! ;)
You should write a book.
seriously
Or hilerious! your so goofy ;)
You are funny!!
Um, this post should be titled "Here's your sign" if people were email you about it. :o) Don't they know you by now???
I spend about 4 hours a week on groceries. That includes coupon clipping and filing, inventory, menu planning, list making, shopping and putting everything away. I usually save between 25% to 30% but this weekend at Walgreens I saved 65%!!
You should be paid for this stuff!
I leave the grocery store feeling like I not only paid for my food but the person's behind me too!
There was some serious wool pulling over the eyes on that one!
Hey Frugalicious!
Just keep thinking that you saved $14.76 on those rolls. Don't come back to reality. It is much more fun in your world! LOL
Score! You totally beat the system!!!
Mmm.
I love rolls.
You're a nut...lol!
Those dollar rolls are great. I buy the wheat ones...we love 'em.
Have a great week! Keep thinking good thoughts for my computer. Sneaking time on my hubby's is gettin' old. :/
Score!! I love when items are mispriced in my favor!
Nobody really emailed you did they? really? that is insanity. But...a very good deal.
Oh, I am really glad that you told me you weren't serious...Ha Ha...I am always amazed that they can charge MORE then a dollar for Dollar rolls...Geez!!! ;)
I love how you see the funny in every day things - even little dollar rolls!
You should have waited (like I do) for them to go half-off because they are day old. I NEVER buy fresh donuts for the office here, they are gone in an hour or 2 anyway, and a little dry never hurt anyone, especially moochers. I am so cheap, you wouldnt believe it, dear.
Hahahahahaha. Good one. WTH is a "Dollar Roll" anyway? Looks like a plain old roll to me.
Heidi, you scored BIG with those dollar rolls! You ARE Frugalicious!!! I answered your sneaky question on Sneaky Momma's blog today. I can't believe I answered what I answered. Oh well, no turning back now. My secrets out, thanks to you. LOL!!
excellent. way to score!!
In my world that is a good price. ANd I DO use coupons and shop sales as much as possible and I can't believe our grocery bills anyhow!
dude, i love it!
