My sissy girl went to camp this past week for the first time. Not only was it her first time at camp, it was her first time being away from me for a week. Added to that is that we didn't get to talk to her for the whole week she was gone.
Dudes.
I had serious issues. I sent her a card in her bag to find that first night and then I mailed another to get there about mid week, but what about me? No one gave ME a card midweek to tell me all was well and good. *sigh*
I missed her something awful. I love that kid, I tell ya. She is seriously sacred to me and I don't know what I would do without her.

Awww...it's so hard on us MOMS when our kids leave home on camping trips, school trips, etc. We miss the kids terribly. My boys always had a blast whenever they were away, though. They never had any probs with homesickness...I was glad for that, but I did want them to miss me just a little bit! LOL

My girls love going to camp. The memories they make are for a lifetime and we need a break from them and they need one from us every once in a while!
Yup, my kids are too young for this ah, fun experience. I'm sure it's fun for them.

Chandler had his first AWAY camp a couple of weeks ago. That was HARD! He always does Youth camp with us because we teach Youth, we work the camp, so he just always goes. But this year he wanted to go on his OWN camp without ANY of us.....and whoah....that was rough! I was so worried all week. He finally made it home and after he told us all about his amazing week and all the stuff he did, I asked him if he missed me at all.
"Nope!"

A whole week? I would have been going batty too. Glad she made it back safe and sound. Did she have fun??
