Today I'd like to declare it Seriously Stupid day. What do you find Seriously Stupid? LIke - in the city I live in the library has specified areas for the type of car you drive. Yk, if you drive a GREEN car, you get to park closer to the library. If you carpool you get to park closer. If you have an SUV you get to park out in the back 40. I find that whole thing Seriously Stupid so I intentionally park my minvan in the Green car area in protest of the stupidity. It's not legal - they can't enforce anything other than the handicap parking (which I am FULLY in support of) so they can just bite me.
*phew* Anyway. So...what do YOU find Seriously Stupid?

What do I find Seriously Stupid...I think a better question is what do I NOT find Seriously Stupid! In a day and age where there are children carrying guns, students being shot while in school and the elderly starving in our government subsidized nursing homes there are too many "stupids" to count. If I had to pick one thing I think it would be security system at the air ports.
They act all big and bad, telling you that you can't even say certain words without getting pulled from your flight. PHFFFT. My husband had a 1/4 stick of dynamite {for the 4th of July that I threw a complete fit about BTW} in his briefcase, he put it there after my meltdown because the girls would never find it there! Fast forward about 8 months, it has been completely forgotten about by now and still sits in the briefcase. We go on an International flight all the way to Ireland and that joker was never found! Now whisper the word bomb and your out of there but actually carry one and you're good to go! SERIOUSLY!
something stupid that makes my ears bleed, is when people say...
"the kids were outside playing today and it was soooo cold. i hope they don't get sick."
or...
"this weather is so crazy, it's no wonder we're all sick."
allergies are one thing with seasonal changes, but...
PEOPLE...VIRUSES MAKE YOU SICK. GERMS MAKE YOU SICK. COLD TEMPERATURES, NOTSOMUCH. we get sick during cold weather because we're all indoors, closer together, the kids are in school, sharing germs...so, viruses spread a little easier.
I agree...I'd park my big ole SUV in the green area to show them too.

Verizon is stupid!!!! We locked in to a special deal for our FIOS packacke and they mess up our billing EVERY month. And every month we have to call them to fix it and they say, oh you're right, just pay the fixed amount. But then I get a bill in the mail that says I have $290 overdue ballance and they are going to report it to collections. Are they freaking morons??? So my hubby calls and they tell him the person assigned to our account hasn't been fixing it. Duh, what is this person getting paid to do all day?? I'm about to cancel it and let them just try to get some early termination fees out of me! Ha!

I joined over at Swap Mamas for obvious reason, because I want to swap kids clothes, toys etc. Some guy joined and is "looking for a beautiful woman to care for his daughter when he is not around". First of all, I did not sign up to be your babysitting service, second what does "when you are not around" mean. Are you a deadbeet? What a loser!
Another stupid thing is my full-time coworkers. Bunch of slackers! They were off yesterday being it was a holiday. At least twice a week somebody takes off early, comes in late, does not meet quota or just takes the whole damn day off. I am PART-TIME, why am I always left to shovel up your crap. Yesterday I typed 270 procedures. Cleaned off the board, they started today on a clean slate but guess what neither one of them showed up for work this a.m. When I finally got word they were coming in, there were already 140 reports piled up on the board. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, drives me crazy!

Yes I know I should be grateful to have a job. I am grateful but I am would be a liar to say I don't get sick of these antics every single week!
Seriously Stupid? Here's mine. I have nine children. When we go somewhere, I try to put them all in the same color, so we know instantly if that kid in the red shirt that is running away is ours or not. :) Now, what I find so stupid is someone asking "Are they all yours?" (Emphasis on the "all"). Duh! No, I brought the neighbor's kids too just for kicks. Oh and also my cousins' kids. For crying out loud! They are all in the same color, they are pretty much "stairstep" kids, and they're all following me around. Yes! They are all mine! Sorry. I can pretty much guarantee that I will get asked that question every single time I go somewhere. At least once while I'm out, sometimes more than once. You know, like once every store I go into. Grrrhh...get a clue folks!
