Another Helpful Hint from heidi

I know how you look forward to my helpful hints, so I thought I'd share this one with you tonight.

While cooking dinner, it is helpful if you do NOT put the plastic bag full of cheese straight onto a hot burner while dealing with food on another burner. The plastic AND cheese will melt to the burner, making a large mess and a nasty smell. Plus it will cause you to swear, loudly, like a chaste sailor:"Son of a .... Mother ... Holy ... Doggoneit!!!" And it causes your husband to laugh at you and make comments HE thinks are witty (but only serve to make you think of more chaste swear words).

This has been another helpful hint from heidi. Stay tuned for other helpful hints as these things occur.

Dear Heidi,
I do enjoy your advice, and that IS good information to know. What is your advice regarding burning hot handles on cast iron skillets?

Good tip Heidi! I had one this week that involved not standing too close to the burners open flame so that my sweater caught on fire. Oh, good times!

I would never to something like that. I prefer to place my Tupperware bowl on the hot burner and ruin the very expensive, now piece of trash, bowl. That's more of a me kind of thing.

I have also tried this method and also found it to be less than satisfactory!

For a minute I thought you were in our house last week, then again, I imagine the same exact thing can happen in two households. Too funny...

Sometimes I think the stuff that goes on in your household tops even the funniest SNL skits!

Sounds like something I would do. Why is it that the men always think they are so humerous, when in fact, they are not!!??

Excellent advice...and might I add that when putting a frozen pizza in the over, you should always double-check to make sure the cardboard is no longer stuck to the bottom of it....just incase you were wondering. ;0)
