OK, so...I was trying to put purple highlights in my hair and someone said that if you have darker hair you have to strip it or bleach it out first and then add the purple. I mean I tried it without the stripping/bleaching and the purple didn't show. last night I stripped some chunks of hair to add the purple and when I was in the shower all of the sudden there is all this HAIR everywhere. Just a bunch of freaking HAIR. I jumped out of the shower and looked in the mirror and there are complete patches of no hair..I mean baldness..bloody HELL I mean my hair fell OUT in the areas that I tried to strip!! FELL FREAKING OUT!!!! I have HUGE patches of no hair all over my flipping head!!
*deep breath*
After sobbing and crying and FUH-REAKING out all night, I'm going in to the hair dresser to see if anything can be done. But after talking to her on the phone, I'm not too hopeful. It's STILL falling out little by little. So, most likely we're going to have no choice but to shave my head. *choke* Shave my head. So that my hair can grow back in, healthy.
Oh my word, I think I'm going to vomit.

Ohhh, I like the idea of starting a new trend. You know, I've always thought you were kind of a trend-setter. Not that I'm gonna follow that trend...but maybe. Think of it...no more "bad hair days", no more sticky little finger putting goodness knows what in your hair, shampoo? who needs it? No more expensive haircuts. Feeling better yet? I'm trying girl!

bloody hell? i didn't know you were british. i loved it. but i don't love what has happened to your hair. i would be mortified. but i am sure they will be able to help you somehow today. you can fix almost any problem by throwing a little money at it. and this sounds like it is worth any amount of money.
Yikes...that was some experience with the hair dye. I dye mine all the time and now I am freaking out. I know it will all be fine...post a picture so I can tell you so.

In all the 17 plus years I've done hair bleaching it never makes it fall out..only perming and at that it just melts..so liar liar pants on fire..or show me a pix and i might believe it ;)
I tried to put straightener on my hair once. Bad idea. I had the same problem. I truly feel your pain. If it helps, I have long very curly hair now.

I did hair for years and never had that happen. What type of bleach did you use? I had a young girl come in once and ask for a perm, I knew immediately there was something wrong with her hair. I asked what she had done to it and she replied "I bleached it". I asked what bleach she had used and she answered "Clorox"...I kid you not she used Clorox on her hair. I obviously refused to do ANYTHING to her hair.
For what it's worth I think you could totally pull off the Sinead O'Connor look, you're sassy!

I do like the second picture though. That is a really nice cut/length. I just got my hair trimmed today after putting it off since September. I am not a procrastinator or anything.

so the only time i've ever heard about people's hair falling out is when they bleach and bleach and bleach. bleaching once...not so much. but i'll wait and see the 'ha ha ha' april fools post as well. :0)
Oh no! I'm screaming for you. I had a bad experience with trying to color my own hair and it turned Irish setter red, but thankfully nothing fell out. Anyway, I had always thought of cutting my hair super, super short to start over with healthy, natural colored hair. Who knows, you might set a new trend for us :)
I hope you are April Fooling us! I had tiger looking stripes the last time I tried to highlight my hair at home. That was 11 years ago...and it was the last time I ever tried anything on my own. Just not worth it. So bald, huh? Not the look you were going for. It's edgy - way more extreme than purple highlights!

That is a great giggle. Dontcha just love little kids laughs. They make you feel like laughing just because they sound so sweet and fun.
Totally knew (hoped) it had to be a joke....so when do we get to see the real pictures??? My cut is boring...just a few inches shorter than it was. And I forgot to take before pictures so it wouldn't make any sense to post after pictures. It pretty much looks like my profile picture since I had my hair the same length then. I am too chicken to try different colors.

Well....I think that it will all come out ok in the end...sometimes we freak out and end up spending more than if we would have just gone ourselves to the salon!!! I think you look great...even if you do have purple hair...LOL
