Don't Follow Where I Lead....

...because I often trip over things.

True story: When I was pregnant with Corban I went outside to grab something for one of the girls. I stepped on the prong end of the rake and smacked myself in the head with it hard enough to knock me down on the ground. Gave myself a concussion.

Nice, huh? Aren't you glad you're following me?

So...it's not something I pay a whole lot of attention to, truthfully. I visit people that leave comments on my blog and then once or twice a week I visit blogs I follow. But today I was checking it out and there are people following me that I've never even seen leave a comment before! What's up with that?? I don't give away entries or anything to any contests for following me so I dunno where they all came from. Not that I MIND...watch out for the rakes.... I just want ya'll to pop in and say hi. Otherwise it gets a little ...

Creepy.

So, pop in. Say hi. No pressure. Even if you ALWAYS comment, say hi anyway. Because then? I'll come visit YOU. And I've got on my travelin' shoes. ;-)

Oh, hey? Tomorrow I'm playing along in a fun new carnival over at Fort Thompson that Tim invited me to participate in. So, make sure you check back and check it out. More VLog fun...coming your way! HA!

There's been a whole lot of chat about this follower thing in blodgania lately. It will be interesting to see what the new "thing" will be. Will everyone ditch their follower widget? Stay tuned . .. .

HI. I stepped on a rake once too. I still laugh about it. I thought that only happened in cartoons. HA

Girl, there you go again with the laughs. Love the rake story. When I was pregnant I was the only one that could paint the sun in our sons new room. I was also the only one who could fall off the bar stool while painting the sun.
Can't what to see the vblog. I loved last weeks.
Have a great day!

I am also a clumsy mess when pregnant. I fell a handful of times when I was pregnant with maddie. Really big, dramatic, embarassing falls. Enough to almost go in falls. Oy.

With Saylor I *tried* to be a little more careful {and wear flats a little more}, lol.

I have to admit, I pay attention to my follower thingy. It makes me giddy to have people follow my blog. It makes me feel special. And it makes me feel good to know that some people enjoy reading what I have to say. :) I don't think it's creepy when people follow but don't comment. Unless they're obviously strange. but I haven't noticed anything strange.

Did that Really happen to you? WOW, that must have been kind a embarrassing. I can just see the headlines in the Bozeman Daily Chonicle: "Pregnant Woman Knocked Cold by Deadly Lawn Instument", Or "Local Women Advised to Stay off Lawns". Thats why you have so many blog-stalkers! They look for the funny stuff. LIKE ME!!!

I did a test blog for someone the other day and 5 followers popped up before I could designate it as 'blog authors only'. We didn't even know those people!
Glad Corban and his mommy are okay. I didn't know anyone ever really did the rake thing. Well, except for in the movies of course! :)

I have followers who've never commented too! It is kinda creepy. I actually have a few who have no profile. Just a name - no picture and no blog! It freaks me out a little.

Also...I fell down the stairs EVERY TIME I was pregnant! idiot!

I'm also a clumsy one. I was 8 months pregnant with Natey and tripped over the planter (while I was trying to step up into it) in a Target parking lot and went down like a sack of potatoes. I freaked as I was falling and made sure to land rolling on my side, so i am sure it was quite a sight to see. All these old ladies stopped to ask me if I was ok or needed help. I was scraped up, covered with mulch and mostly SUPER embarassed!! Oh well, there's a reason my name isn't Grace!

Hello friend! I've missed stopping by while I was without my computer. It's good to get back in the swing of things. ;)

My nickname has always been Grace. I have the ability to trip over the pattern in a rug!

Ouch to the rake. Yeah I follow you, but I'll let you take the rake to the head and I just walk around it. lOL
You are so funny.

I only have a handful of followers so I pretty much know them all. I don't even know how some of you bloggers have sooooo many followers. Seriously Heidi, I don't think I know 93 people in real life, let alone in bloggy land. You are so lucky.

hey. i usually try to leave comments. i've been super busy lately! i truly lold at the stepping on the rake. when i was pregnant with amelya a mouse scared me in the bathroom. i didn't finish wiping i high 'tailed' it out of there and stood on a chair in the dining room with my pants down. shaun flew down the stairs at five thirty in the morning thinking i was being murdered! i was screaming like crazy. then he was grossed out to see that the toilet paper had landed on the dining room floor! lol. that wasn't clumsy, but it's my funniest preggo story!

Popping in to say Hi from Florida. Guy on my flight today wearing a Montana State sweat shirt. He left Bozeman earlier today and is now sweating here in Florida.

Have a day!

It's so funny that people "follow" but NEVER leave comments...happens to me, too! I'm not sure what's up with that! I'd enjoy a comment every now and then from them...you know just to see what part of my blog interests them? Then I could come visit their blog, too! Makes sense to me!

purplemoose said...

Well, it's me again. And actually I'm trying to cut BACk on the comments I leave since I'm swamped, totally swamped, and trying to keep up with waaay too many people on the blog thing. And I haven't figured out how to do the follower thing on my blog (word press) so it's not a big deal for me. But I like comments!

Oh, and I'd totally follow you, so I could know what to avoid. I bet you find the potholes and slippery spots too, huh? ;)

I think it is possible there is a phenomenon called "comment-phobia". We all have readers who never comment. In fact some of my best in real life friends read my blog and dont bother to comment.

snobs!

I agree with the comment about followers who don't have a profile or their own blog... that is kind of creepy. I have a modest following and each person makes time to comment here and there. I think having to log in and do the secret code each time as well as scrolling to the bottom of many comments keeps people from commenting... unless they are really compelled I suppose. I really enjoy your blog, it makes me laugh and not take myself so seriously. Keep up your great work, deadly rakes and all!

I have followers who have never commented too. I think there are some people who just feel like they don't have anything to say, even though a simple "hi" comment will make me so happy!
