Ramble On or The Boring Post

Well hello there, friend! Thanks for stopping by! How're things in your world, today? We've just been swamped all week plus the boys are sick AGAIN. I've been circling the drain, too, and I think that this one is gonna kick my butt. The boys have both had high fevers and if they felt anything like *I* do they've also had body aches and pains as well as head congestion. I'm so ready for summer to get here and just burn these germs out!

The girls' have been on Spring Break this week. I had Rob set it up to take each of them to work with him for a morning and then he took them out to lunch. Here's their idea of what to wear to work:

So he took Sienna on Tuesday and Cara on Thursday. On Wednesday I worked it out with FIL that he split the day up and spent some time with each of the girls, just hanging out. Wednesday night a neighbor girl slept over and Thursday afternoon the girls went swimming. Then on Friday they went to work with my SIL to help her out around her store.

Thursday afternoon my bio-dad came to town to hang out with us for the weekend. We've just beenlaying low with him and taking it easy.

Wednesday B had his 9 month check up. He's 19 lbs so he is slowing down a bit, which I knew he would once he started crawling. I have lab orders to take him in for bloodwork so they can do allergy testing. I am SO not looking forward to it! Poor little B. :-(

Oh! Old Navy is (was?) having a big ole baby sale and EVERYTHING in their infant dept was $5. EV-RY-THING. I went ahead and got B a good solid start on his Spring/Summer wardrobe. Woot! Thanks Old Navy!! You Rock.

Get this - I've been gettin' my craft on lately. Yeah, me. What? What?!?! I felt inspired. No, I can't tell you about it yet because the person I made it for reads my blog. *wink wink nudge nudge* Promise to show soon.

And in the things that suck category? When your purple highlights don't turn out. Bah. SO anticlimactic.

Well, I'm off to probably Take Corban into the Saturday clinic. *sigh* Hope ya'll are doing well and I will try and stop by soon!

Don't ya just hate when you type up a big long comment and then hit some mysterious button and it is all deleted? I thought so.
Sounds like the girls had a fun spring break. We don't have ours until around Easter.
I had so much fun last night washing Rebecca's blankets and such. She was feeling so great she decided to cough herself into throwing up at 1030pm. What a great way to spend Friday night. WooHoo!
I am right there with you on the craft thing. Sometimes it just hits you like a ton of bricks.

What a fun week you planned for them and a perfect solution to keeping them well.

Take care of yourself because as I'm sure you know, the Mommy cannot get sick!

Well wishes are coming your way from me!

Have a restful weekend.

I've been waiting for the hair pictures! Sorry the highlights didn't work out.

My kids have had more sick days this year than the total of sick days in their 10 years of school. 2 for the boy and 4 for the girl. She even got a "2 more days off and you'll get an official attendance warning" letter! And she's coughing again and the boy threw up this morning! Spring break is next week and they desperately need the rest.

Hope you have a good weekend!

Sounds like the girls had a great spring break with all the places and fun things they did. They look cute all dressed up for work. What a fun day to be with Dad. That is awesome. Hope everyone is better soon.

You boring...never! Your girls look adorable. I'm sure a day with Daddy at work made them feel so special!

Sorry so many in your family are not feeling well! Open up some windows, get some fresh air, and say goodbye to the winter germs!

Have a great weekend!

I don't know why Doctors don't recommend this more often, but ONCE, ONE doctor told me about this: EMLA patches. You get them from the pharmacy. Apply them on the crook of the elbow and in half an hour the veins are NUMB... Isn't that brilliant??

Hugs,
Cathy

Did someone say purple? Cuz my ears are itching. (Or is it ringing?)

My boys have begged, begged, begged for Daddy to take them to work. But he can't take them in, company policy. Glad your girls had a busy and memorable week!

It was (sorta) our spring break here too, except that we home school so . . . yeah. Somewhat anti climatic.

All your kids are so darn cute. I am glad they got to have some fun this week! I hope you are all feeling better soon. Your right, poor little guy getting bloodwork done. yuck.
Ahh, show us a pic of the highlights anyway, maybe it is just you thinking they didn't work out.

Amen...cold season needs to make its exit! I thought we were free and clear until Melody woke up all runny-nosed yesterday. Arg. I hope your guys are feeling better soon. And I love the girls "work" outfits! Thanks for the Old Navy tip...I might check it out...it's next to Borders where I'm on my way to pick up the Twilight DVD.

OH Heidi, I am so sorry to hear you guys have been sick. We had that mess the whole month of Jan and just when I think we are 'over' it..the allergies start with all this pollen.
I need to run to Walmart later and get Chloe more Zyrtec. I was gone a week to TN when my Grandmother passed away and I guess being in that cold and coming home to warmer temp's didn't help either..so here we go again..I need to check Old Navy out..I used to get Whitney's the best deals there when she was younger!!

We're sickos over here too. I thought I was going to get through the whole winter without getting sick, but right as spring is about to reaer it's head it hits me.

I had the funniest dream last night in which I met you and your family at a church. You were all in this funny blue van and I was hoping you wouldn't think I was crazy coming up to your window in the church parking lot. Ha! Weird, I know.

Hope you and the boys feel better!!
