I chose to accept it.

It's writing day at MamaKat's place. And since I'm trying to write more I thought I'd play along. She gave us these prompts and told us to pick one:

Words that hurt me?

I was going to go with this one because immediately some words sprang to mind.

Words like "I'm sorry ma'am, but your card has been declined."

Or "You fall into the morbidly obese range."

Even words as simple as the ever tiresome "No."

But the one that haunts me is "I seen it over there" which is more of a phrase and not a word, so much. You didn't 'seen' anything. Maybe you SAW something, but you didn't SEEN anything.

I was going to answer the question 'What is Normal?' but Chris Crocker already beat me to it..(um...explicit language involved..once).

Camping was something we did a lot of. Once my step-brother stepped out of camp, in the dark, to take a leak. He was walking along, looking for a good tree to water when he heard a snort and looked up..into the eyes of a gigantic moose. He came running back to camp, screaming. And we still tease him about it.

That wasn't very long or..I dunno..writerly (ouch..word hurt me!).

My childhood hideout? We moved so much I've forgotten all the hideouts. None of them really stick out to me much. This one is a snoozefest..let's move it right along.

The best thing that happened this week was...uhm....hmmm...

Corban has learned to poo-poo on the potty!!!! Woohoo!!!

In the end, though, I decided to go with a limerick. Those are so fun! I just couldn't decide which one to go with...

there once was a blogger named heidi
who liked her house nice and tidy
but the sad truth is
she lives with pigs
cleanliness is love unrequited

or this one

she wanted to twitter and tweet
but she trips over her own two feet
so she sits in the back
having a panic attack
smelling of fear and fresh meat

but then this one seemed good

jason the bachelor's an ass
but I bet he made loads of cash
he broke Melissa's heart
and tore other girls apart
but I bet he he came back with a rash
