Works for Me Wednesday

I love to read - as I may have mentioned before. Adore it. I was the kid that got in trouble at school for reading. I used to read every chance I got. As I got older, reading fell by the wayside but I've always managed to find my love for it again rather quickly.

I take a book with me everywhere. If I have 2 minutes alone to myself to read, I do. Except at stoplights, apparently people want you to GO when the light turns green. Now, before you say get books on tape I have to tell you - I can not STAND to have people read to me. Hate it. I like the simple neurons that fire making comprehension possible when someone reads to me.

Even though I love to read, I'm not a book collector. I know some people who have shelves and shelves and boxes of books. I'm more of a pass it on kind of gal. I also almost *never* reread a book. What's the point? I know the story, there's no surprises..I know how it ends!

For this reason, I am in LOVE with PaperBack Swap. I can go and list books I have to trade, and when people select them from me and I ship them out - I get a credit with which I can request a book from someone else. I like this because there's no late fees or due dates. I can read the books I want to read in the time I can find to read them. I also don't have to pay for them, beyond the meager shipping charge to mail books requested from me.

If you love to read, and haven't signed up for PBS - you should TOTALLY do it. If you need a referral you can use me. heidimt2003 AT yahoo.com Just sayin'.

So, that's what Works for Me! What Works for you??

Ok, I don't read much BUT, I had to give a shout out to HEIDI HO--

I was the Friday Freebie winner last week and she sent me THE greatest package--a complete meal, down to the dessert. I'm cooking it right now and the curry sauce is making me salivate! THANK YOU!!!!

hi...thanks for stopping by my blog.

It was not a two nap day, unfortunately, and as a result we have a tired toddler and mom at our house tonight!!!

So sorry that your four month old is not napping. I know that can be maddening, especially when you are not getting much sleep at night!! Good luck!
