Thankful Thursday

Forgive me for not following the theme, today, but I just feel so moved to Praise the King for His wonders and mercies!

“I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.” ~ Psalm 7:17 (ESV)

I have been following this lady's blog (yeah, you know the one) - she's MckMama. She has 3 kids 3 and under, and just gave birth to her 4th yesterday. I've been just amazed by her story. Amazed. And just now brought to tears. Half the blogosphere anxiously awaited the birth of Stellan yesterday. How would it go? Would he live? Would there be problems? See, at 24 weeks they were told that he would inevitably die. From MckMama: "He was quite unexpectedly given to us, and even more unexpected was his diagnosis of heart failure: Premature Atrial Contraction at 20 weeks; Supraventricular Tachycardia, hydrops, and intermittent advanced secondary heart block at 23 weeks; and enlargement of the heart at 32 weeks."
Over the past weeks we've watched her grow and Stellan grow and we've watched the changes and the ups and downs.

Yesterday, Stellan was born.

If you have 5 minutes, I encourage you to read her latest blog entry.

I am in awe. I am amazed. I am thankful.

I too, LOVE MckMama's blog. I was so excited that everything went ok with his birth and there are no problems. My kids were crowding around the computer screen trying to find out all the details. Even Becca said, "I want to see the pictures of Stellan."

I just wanted to say hi and that I saw your comment over at June Cleaver about Rachel Ray & Oprah. And I'm on the fence about RR, but totally there with The Big O. She weirds me out.......

And my brother's and nephew's names are Brennan. A fine choice for the young man!

I read this too. Amazing! And it is very cool to hear the good stories among the tragedies!

Blessed!
