One year ago today (Thursday) I lost a friend of mine to cancer. I am thankful that I got to know her. I am thankful that I got to hang out with her. I am thankful for her sense of humor. I am thankful for her sense of fairness and right/wrong. I am thankful for her love of Christ. I am thankful for her insight. I am thankful for her courage. I am thankful for her never give up attitude. I am thankful for her smile. I am thankful for the way she loved her kids and her husband. I am thankful for her generosity. I am thankful that she wants to meet me in heaven and hug my neck.
I am thankful that God placed Evie on this earth long enough to be my friend.
But I still miss her.

I can't believe it's been a year! I was blessed to "know" her as well. She was a true gem! i can hardly wait to meet her in heaven someday.
My heart hurts tonight. Can't believe it has been a year. I miss our Evie a lot. You encapsulated Evie to a tee. I can't wait to see her again one day and get to hug her neck again also. Praying like crazy for Paul and the kids, tomm. is going to be hard. Prayers going up for Evie's folks and brother also.
My heart goes out to you, and her husband, children and everyone that she touched.

UGH....your post just made me cry. I remember her and how hard she fought. I am thankful that God knew when she could no longer fight and took her home to give her rest. I am also thankful that God used HER to touch so many many ladies. God was, and is and will be glorified in this.
But you still made me cry!
I am thankful for YOU, Heidi, in all that you do for me.
She is definately missed. Can't believe it's been a year.
