Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Boo ya! Another Tuesday, another Tackle. Three weeks in a row, people. That's called consistency. *nods* Yes it is. And I have dreams, nay - PLANS for the upcoming weeks. Indeed I do. I know you all can hardly wait to see. But, *sigh* you'll have to. It's how this game is played. Well .. that and I need some more pay checks to come in to get some more organizational tools. (Psst - honey, it's not considered indulgence shopping if it's for ORE-GAN-EYE-Zay-SHUN-UL stuff. It's a necessity. It's an ammendment. No, wait, it was in the book of Zacharjebediah. Go check.)

This week I tackled my bathroom cabinets. As mentioned previously, space is at a premium here in our corner of the apartment complex and my bathroom has no medicine cabinet. Plus, we've lived here for about 7 months now and the place needs some additional organization. The honeymoon phase is over, we've fully moved in. Except the boxes in the garage - but after 7 months - really, I mean who needs them, right? Right. Anyway.

So, I got me some more tote-like-things for cheap like at that store that isn't Target and set to work on untangling this mess:

Are you embarassed for me? You should be. The mess is only complicated by the fact that my girls keep all their little play make up in there so it gets rumaged through every weekend. Between them and my husband, I actually moved OUT and into the guest bathroom downstairs. There just wasn't enough room for me and my stuff!

After today, it looks like this:

Since I was already IN there, I went ahead and did the other side, too:

And I straightened up the drawers, too. I have organized drawers. My drawers are no longer unkempt. *giggle*

Yay me! *pats self on back* Next week is the laundry area or under the kitchen sink. Don't laugh at me! What'd YOU tackle today???

Wow, great tackle! Love the tote things. I intended to do under my bathroom cabinet this week. Um... yeah, I put it off for something fun instead. Maybe next weekend? lol

You are an organizational fiend! WTG!! I think after the last couple days, especially the one that you didn't have, a good organizational therapy session was definitely in order. We must attempt to maintain control over SOMETHING!! Do photos mean we have a new camera????

Dang, is it already Tuesday & I still haven't tackled anything? What's wrong with me? Great job for getting yours done. Any chance in motivating me to get something done? I need a motivational friend I guess.

I love organizational shopping... I'm thinking an upcoming Tackle will have to be organizing the cooking junk drawer, which will certainly require some supplies...

Great job with the cabinets. I find that cabinets and drawers are the places in my home that get the messiest also!

We should be friends...I want to be friends with anyone who can find a way to make Cheetos a legitimate part of a healthy diet. :)

One of the hardest places to keep organized, besides my desk, is the bathroom that the kids share, which also just happens to be the one everyone has to use when they visit. Anyone who designs buildings should have to live with toddlers for a week; I bet floor plans would change drastically. he-he

Does it count if my tackle was the dishes in the sink that have NOT been sitting there for more than 24 hrs?? ;) No they have NOT ;) and yes they have been tackled...now where the heck is the durn maid ??

I would not clean the top of the oven hood had it not been for my husband. He is 6 feet 5 and when he cooks he leans his forearm against the hood and gently tells me that it's sticky up there.

Who new.

So it's only for my sweet heart. I had married a shorter guy I would have this problem :o}

Those nooks and crannies get so crazily disorganized, don't they? Looks great and way to tackle the other side while you were at it.
